what's Monster League?

Monster League is a new fantasy football game! Trainers embark on a journey to build the ultimate lineup of athletes called Monsters!

Monsters are used by trainers to battle and capture other athletes and to earn their trainers weekly fantasy points!

The trainer who accumulates the most points from their weekly lineups by the season's end wins the Monster League Championship!

A Trainer's Journey

Trainers must choose Wild Monsters (free agents) to battle against their own team. Battles occur head-to-head between two Monsters of the same player position (for example: QB vs. QB).

Like traditional fantasy football, athletes' real-life performances earn their Monsters points in battle! Monsters that outscore their opponents win battles and earn points for their trainers!

Defeated Monsters are captured and become playable in a trainer's roster the next week! Win battles to grow your team, capture the best Monsters, and earn the most points!

Elements & Multipliers

Monsters and their teams are powered by elements, each with unique strengths...and weaknesses! There are 9 element types: Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Ice, Steel, Ground, Flying, and Fighting.

Certain match-ups are super effective against others, unlocking advantages and awarding Monsters point multipliers in battle! Wise trainers use the elements to gain an edge in battle and earn their Monsters extra points!

(For example: A trainer places fire-type P. Mahomes in their team's QB slot and selects wild grass-type J. Allen as the opponent. Since fire is strong against grass, P. Mahomes gains a point multiplier, boosting his chances of outperforming J. Allen in fantasy points. This increases the trainer's likelihood of capturing J. Allen and adding him to their team).

*When a Trainer pits their Monster against a Wild Monster of a weaker element, a Power Match is triggered. Power Matches grant bonus points to the Monster with the stronger element type.

Step 1: Choose starters

Trainers start by drafting three low-ranking Monsters from a limited selection of athletes. Trainers must choose 1 Quarterback, 1 Running Back, and 1 Wide Receiver to join their team. This will be their Week 1 lineup.

Step 2: Pick Opponents

After setting their Week 1 lineup, trainers can choose one opponent for each Monster on their team to battle. Don't forget about the elements—Choose your matches wisely to earn extra points!

Step 3: Battle Lineup

Trainers can edit their lineup and opponent selection as often as they like until 15 minutes before a Monster's game begins. After that, the Monster is locked into position, and so is their opponent. Results can be viewed only after both Monsters' games have ended.

Step 4: capture monsters

Monsters earn fantasy points based on their athletes' real-life performances. Opponents with fewer points are defeated, captured, and added to the trainer's team. Captured Monsters become playable in the following week's lineup.

Tips to win

At the end of the season, the trainer with the highest accumulated score of fantasy points wins the game! Here are just a few ways to help win as many points as possible:

  • Update your lineup each week with your best performing Monsters.
  • Make sure to assign a Monster to every slot in your lineup (if possible).
  • Choose power matches to earn extra points and win more battles.
  • Capture Monsters of different element types to help defeat and capture opponents.
